Conference

The conference will be held in the campus -- more details about registration, etc. can be found in the On Your Arrival page.

Train

Swansea railway station is on the main west coast line from London Paddington, less than 3 hours away. Great Western Trains provide the service between South Wales and London Paddington. Travel Information for UK cities to Swansea is available from Railtrack.

Car

Swansea is well connected via the M4 from London, and M6/M5/M50/M4 from the North. Leave the M4 at Junction 42, and follow the road for about 5 miles. You will pass (on your left) Swansea Docks, Sainsbury's supermarket, the Leisure Centre and Maritime Quarter, the Marriot, County Hall, and (on your right) Tesco and Swansea Rugby Ground. The University is well sign-posted and is located on the right. You will access it by a set of traffic lights just before a pedestrian footbridge.

Air

The Wales International Airport near Cardiff is just one hour away, although there is no direct coach to Swansea - you must go via Cardiff. There is a direct National Express coach link from Heathrow and Gatwick airports (for further information see next section).

Coach

Though not always as fast as trains, coaches provide direct and cheap links. National Express provides a timetable and booking service. National Express Coach Enquiries, Tel: +44 (0)116 251 6696.

Ferry

There are frequent ferry crossings from Swansea to Cork, in the Republic of Ireland.
