Tutorial - Medical Visualization: A UK Perspective
Abstract
The aim of the tutorial is to provide an overview of the current state of the art in medical visualization, focussing on the work being undertaken in the UK. It will introduce the attendees to key algorithms and applications in the areas of volume visualization, registration and segmentation, and the use of VR and the Web for collaborative medical applications.
A brief survey will also be presented of key research in these areas being undertaken in the UK.
